JUNIOR SUMMER LEARN TO ROW CAMPS
Ages 12 - 17
REGISTRATION OPENS March 1st, 2024
Questions
Be on the water, make new friends and try the best team sport going! This ultra-active five-day camp is for teens aged 12-17 who have never rowed before, would like to find out what rowing is all about, and decide whether they would like to do it more. Each day there will be approximately 2 hours of on-water activity, with breaks for eating snacks and lunch, plus fun dry-land activities with your new crew.
The whole experience is led by two of our dedicated Junior Program coaches, plus assistant athletes who are currently in our competitive Junior Program.
Once a camp is successfully completed, athletes interested in continuing will be provided with information regarding membership at VRC in our Junior Novice Program. Selection of crews is done by coaches to maximize program composition in relation to team goals, and often balances ages, genders, and aptitudes.
Program Goals
Junior athletes are learning the skills and training necessary to enter the Fall Junior Novice Program.
