Don’t have a boat but still want to race? Maybe you’re a member of another section and want to try your hand at sailing.

NOTE: The chances of finding a boat to race with through the VRC Crew Bank diminish as the series progresses.
Your best opportunity is at the beginning of the season.

🐻‍❄️ Polar Bear Series 2025–2026 (Register NOW: full series $75 or single race $25)

  • October 26, November 9 & 23, December 7

  • January 4 & 18, February 1 & 15, March 1

Notices to Competitors:

  1. Nov, 23, 2025 1247h: The November 23 Polar Bear race(s) were cancelled as the race officer did not feel safe to anchor his vessel in English Bay in the conditions present.  Consideration will be made to add Sunday March 15th to the end of the series as a make up date.  Boats registered for a single race on November 15th will be contacted with the option of a refund or to apply their registration to a future race date in the series.   

  2. Jan 12, 2026 1200h: The January 4, 2026 Polar Bear #5 race for Division 3 was abandoned due to no boats finishing within the time limit. This race will be resailed on January 18, 2026 Polar Bear #6.
